MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Ouattara is the second athlete from the Ivory Coast to have gone missing after the Special Olympics ended in the city of Los Angeles on Sunday.

"On Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 6:30 a.m. [13:30 GMT], 24-year-old Abidjan Ouattara was reported missing," the Inglewood Police Department said in a news release.

Sihon Ange Ismael Kone, 15, was found Monday afternoon after separating from his delegation due to fly to Ivory Coast later that day.

The third athlete, Albanian Andi Gusmari, went missing on Saturday. He walked into a Hayward Police Department headquarters, over 350 miles north of Los Angeles, in the pre-dawn hours of Monday.

The Inglewood Police Department news release said Ouattara, who was last seen inside his delegation’s hotel, was due to fly out on Tuesday afternoon.

Los Angeles hosted the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games on July 25-August 2, which gathered 6,500 athletes from 177 countries.
