MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Voters in three key US swing states do not consider Hillary Clinton, who is running for president in 2016, to be trustworthy, a Quinnipiac University poll revealed Wednesday.
According to the study, 51 percent of Florida voters polled believe Clinton to be dishonest. This corresponds to 53 percent in Ohio and 54 percent in Pennsylvania.
Most Pennsylvania voters also did not believe that Clinton cared about their needs.
The poll focused on Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania as no US presidential candidate has won the race without taking at least two of these three states since 1960.
On April 12, 2015, Clinton announced her intention to run for president of the United States in 2016, launching her presidential campaign.
Earlier in June, a CNN/ORC poll revealed that almost 60 percent of US citizens thought Clinton lacked honesty and trustworthiness. Voters’ trust in Clinton dropped from 50 percent in March to 42 percent in May, the poll conducted on May 29-31 found.
The US presidential election is scheduled for November 8, 2016.
