NEW YORK (Sputnik) — The Qazi brothers testified that Raees travelled to New York in November 2012 to conduct an attack with a weapon of mass destruction.
“Brothers Raees Alam Qazi, 22, and Sheheryar Alam Qazi, 32, both naturalized US citizens from Pakistan, were sentenced today to 35 years and 20 years in prison,” the statement read.
Moreover, they testified of conspiring to assault US federal officers while being transferred to a court house in Miami, Florida.
Both Raees and Sheheryar Qazi pleaded guilty in March 2015.
