A man was arrested in connection to a Saturday shootout at a home in Panama City Beach, Fla., that left seven people hospitalized including three college students.

David Jamichael Daniels, 22, of Mobile, Alabama, was charged with seven counts of attempted murder and is being held in Bay County Jail.

Deputies from the Bay County Sheriff’s office found a “chaotic scene” when they responded to the residence on Thomas Drive.

One victim was shot in the head and others suffered multiple wounds.

"I knew I was shot and the first one hit me, it was in my neck," one of the victims, Tykeria Ethridge, 22, told NBC station WPMI. "I fell down and I just got shot. Before that, I said 'I'm dead' and I blacked out."

She was also shot in the shoulder.

As of Sunday morning, three victims were in critical condition. They are Kearria Freed, 20, who was shot in the head; Devanta Moore, 21; and Henton Franklin, 22.

Jacole Young, 22; Kelli Curry, 21; and Ethridge were in stable condition.

Anesia Powell, 20, was in surgery after being shot in the arm.

Freed, Powell and Curry are students at Alabama A&M University, according to a statement made by the school.

McKeithen said the shooting was not uncommon for the beach town.

"We have drunk people under the influence with guns and no respect for themselves, others, and — most of all — authority," he said. "We have a recipe for disaster.
