WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US real estate mogul Donald Trump is forming a Presidential exploratory committee with the goal of raising money and hiring staff as Trump ponders a bid for US President in 2016, according to a statement Trump issued.
“I am the only one who can make America truly great again,” Trump said on Wednesday confirming the committee. “I have a great love for our country, but it is a country that is in serious trouble.”
An exploratory committee will allow Trump to begin raising money and hiring staff while thinking about making a bid for the White House in 2016 official.
Trump said he wants to rebuild the US infrastructure, improve border security and strengthen the US military and the economy.
Previous media reports have found Trump hiring political aides in the US states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, while also recently stating that he would not renew his NBC contract for his reality show The Apprentice.
Trump will appear in the US state of New Hampshire later this week. The first primary election is traditionally held in New Hampshire to choose the nominees for the US Presidency.
