MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The International Olympic Committee (IOC) cleared on Saturday Russian wrestler Viktor Lebedev for the participation in the 2016 Rio Olympics, head of the Russian delegation Igor Kazikov said.
"On Viktor Lebedev, everything is fine, the decision has been made. There are no further questions regarding him. Lebedev has been cleared for the participation in the Olympics by the IOC," Kazikov told R-Sport.
On Thursday, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) found the IOC ban on Russian athletes with a previous record of doping violations to be unenforceable. A three-member IOC panel makes final decisions on separate athletes.
