Portuguese star striker Cristiano Ronaldo became the first ever football player to score at four consecutive UEFA European championships after scoring a goal in the group game on Wednesday against Hungary at Euro-2016.

PARIS (Sputnik) — Ronaldo, 31, scored twice at Euro-2004, once at Euro-2008 and three times at Euro-2012.

Ronaldo also sets record by playing his overall 17 game in final stages of European championships, moving ahead of Dutch goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar and French defender Lilian Thuram.

The Euro 2016 is taking place in various French cities from June 10 to July 10.
