Russia Ready to Follow All WADA Recommendations to Fight Doping

On Monday, a World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) commission issued a report accusing Russia of numerous violations of global anti-doping codes and recommended that the country be banned from international athletics, including the 2016 Olympics.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian side is ready to double-check all the facts and to follow all the recommendations of the World Anti-Doping Agency to fight doping problems in sport, Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko said on Wednesday.

"We are ready to re-check all the facts, to follow all the recommendations," Mutko told R-Sport news agency, adding that a specific road map to address doping problems in Russia could be elaborated together with WADA.

On Tuesday, WADA temporarily removed its accreditation of an anti-doping laboratory in Moscow following a recommendation from the commission.
