13:43 GMT 29.05.2015 (Updated: 13:45 GMT 29.05.2015) The Palestinian Football Association announced Friday that it would abandon its plan to push for Israel’s suspension from FIFA.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The move was welcomed by FIFA President Joseph Blatter.
"I have decided to drop the suspension," Palestinian football chief Jibril Rajoub told the FIFA Congress in Zurich, proposing instead to ensure free movement for Palestinian players, investigate alleged Israeli racism and vote on Israeli teams on Palestinian territories.
