Unseeded Tunisian Malek Jaziri became a surprise semifinalist at the Kremlin Cup on Friday, beating Lukas Rosol of the Czech Republic in straight sets.

Jaziri ousted third seed and former champion Viktor Troicki earlier in the competition, and maintained his form by beating the 88th-ranked Rosol 7-6(5), 6-3.

The Tunisian world No. 112 now faces either Italian second seed Andreas Seppi or Japanese eighth seed Tatsuma Ito as he bids to reach a first career ATP final.
