The British royals visited the set of The Last Jedi in April 2016 and it was rumored that they would make an appearance during a scene in disguise. Now actor John Boyega has confirmed the rumors causing a Twitter meltdown.

Boyega, confirmed this during an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, saying that he shared a scene with the pair "wrapped in stormtrooper costumes".

Boyega, who plays reformed stormtrooper Finn, also appeared to confirm that actor Tom Hardy makes an appearance in the film but he is also wearing a helmet.

Prince William and Harry were on the film set in 2016 as part of an official visit to Pinewood Studios. One photo from the visit shows Prince William getting a hug from Chewbacca.

According to Boyega it was “great experience” to shoot the scene with the princes and that it made for a “strange contrast of a weird family,” BBC reported.

Twitter exploded with people’s reaction to the news.

Some expressed delight, while others made jokes about the royal family’s appearance in a movie.
