MOSCOW (Sputnik) – "Who had the stronger arguments, Barack Obama or Vladimir Putin," asked the New York Daily News/JustRivals competition service in a vote posed to participants after the two leaders expressed opposite viewpoints at the UN headquarters.
The US leader advocates the removal of Syrian President Bashar Assad, whom he termed a "tyrant" from the UN podium. Putin pointed out that the Syrian conflict requires a political solution with the participation of the country’s legitimate government.
At least 96 percent of the nearly 33,500 submitted ballots cast their votes for Putin. Obama received 4 percent of the votes.
The comments section on the JustRivals website reflected the overall standing of the vote, with recent remarks expressing support for the "true leader."
The competition ends in a little over three days.
