Bulgarian Media Censor Information, Manipulate Public Opinion

Earlier in the day, a new poll conducted by ICM Research exclusively for Sputnik revealed that 56 percent of European and US residents believe that the mainstream media in their countries are influenced by politicians and big businesses.

MOSCOW (Sputnik), Daria Chernyshova — The Bulgarian mass media manipulate public opinion and censor the information they provide, head of the Bulgarian party Ataka Volen Siderov told Sputnik.

He added that the country’s mass media censor information and adopt a one-sided approach to covering events such as the crisis in Ukraine, accusing Russia of contributing to the military conflict.

“They, of course, are not objective… What our largest TV channel says, that is what people know,” Siderov said.
