RT Editor Says Hackers Attempted Changing Articles on Channel’s Website

Hackers attempted changing the content of articles published on the website of international television channel RT, the channel’s editor-in-chief said Tuesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to Simonyan, control of the website has now been restored.

"Hackers tried to change the content of articles already written. Investigating which IP-addresses were used to try capture the site," Margarita Simonyan wrote on Twitter.

Several Russian media have recently been subject to hacker attacks, including Channel One, the country’s top television channel, websites belonging to the VGTRK media enterprise, television station LifeNews, as well as online versions of the popular newspapers Argumenty i Fakty and Komsomolskaya Pravda.
