MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to Simonyan, control of the website has now been restored.
"Hackers tried to change the content of articles already written. Investigating which IP-addresses were used to try capture the site," Margarita Simonyan wrote on Twitter.

Several Russian media have recently been subject to hacker attacks, including Channel One, the country’s top television channel, websites belonging to the VGTRK media enterprise, television station LifeNews, as well as online versions of the popular newspapers Argumenty i Fakty and Komsomolskaya Pravda.
