China, Iran Reach Agreement on Protecting Intellectual Property Rights

Iran and China signed a Memorandum of Understanding on intellectual property rights on Tuesday, Iran’s official Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Before signing the Memorandum of Understanding, the two sides also exchanged ideas on policymaking regarding the drafting and modernization of intellectual property and copyright laws, IRNA added.

The talks, IRNA noted, covered training courses for the personnel in the field of intellectual copyright; surveying information technology and intellectual property management; exchange of information as well as broadening public awareness about the importance of intellectual property rights.
