The final inspection of the accommodation prepared for the visitors of the Eastern Economic Forum was completed a week before the event’s start.

A local administration representative told RIA Novosti that approximately 5,500 rooms in 23 hotels located in the city of Vladivostok and at the Far Eastern Federal University campus were reserved for the forum’s participants.

Nadezhda Udovenko, a high-ranking official at the Department of Tourism of Primorsky Region also said that all of the inspected hotels are ready for the beginning of the event.

"We pay special attention to availability of elevators, restaurants’ capacity and the presence of comforts required for handicapped people. In general, all of the hotels inspected meet the required criteria and the few problems that were discovered have been quickly rectified," Udovenko said.

And in order to better cater to the needs of the forum visitors, 102 additional eateries and food courts will be opened at the FEFU campus premises.

Furthermore, during a culinary show that will be held at the FEFU waterfront those in attendance will be able to sample a variety of savory and exotic dishes of the Far Eastern Region cuisine, including such delicacies as grilled squid, scallop hoe, crab meat in miso sauce, pollock steak, deer chorba and halibut in unagi sauce.

The 2015 Eastern Economic Forum was attended by representatives from 32 countries and resulted in 109 agreements worth 1.8 trillion rubles ($28 billion).
