MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in celebrations marking the Navy Day in St. Petersburg on July 31, Kremlin’s press service said Saturday.
"On July 31, Vladimir Putin will make a working visit to the city of St. Petersburg, where he will take part in celebrations of the Navy Day," the press service said in a statement.
The Russian president will inspect the Baltic Fleet’s combat vessels from aboard a patrol boat, greet the crews and congratulate them on the holiday.
On Friday, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov said that Putin would review the Navy Day parade of Russian warships in St. Petersburg in commemoration of the Navy Day.
