MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, it was reported that seven militants and one law enforcement officer were killed in a special operation in Russia's Dagestan.
"Seven active members of the so-called Makhachkala gang — which has repeatedly carried out killings of law enforcement officers and civilians, and other terrorist crimes — were eliminated," the committee said in a statement.
"One FSB officer was killed and three sustained injuries," the statement reads.
