Russian Prosecutor General Informs US of Browder's 'Shady Gazprom Trades'

The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has informed the United States about the availability of a number of documents concerning Hermitage Capital Management Director William Browder’s trading of Gazprom shares, office spokesman Alexander Kurennoy said Thursday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier, the Prosecutor General's Office asked for US help with the scrutiny of Browder's illegal deals involving Gazprom shares carried out between 1997-2006.

"We have informed the United States about a large amount of interesting material regarding the scrutiny of questionable deals with Gazprom shares in our possession, but not official response followed," Kurennoy said.
