GORKY (Russia) (Sputnik) – He called on Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin to control the implementation of the newly-approved defense industry development program for 2016-2020 worth over 1 trillion rubles (over $15 billion). Medvedev also urged to produce modern defense equipment.

"We have good indicators in global arms trade, we are in fact the second country which supplies arms on the international level in such quantities. We need to maintain this position. This can only be done with a modern defense industry," Medvedev said.
