All three satellites launched using a Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket on Thursday from the newly-built Vostochny Cosmodrome in Russia’s Far East have been put into orbit, a representative of Russia’s space agency Roscosmos told RIA Novosti.

COSMODROME VOSTOCHNY (Russia’s Far East) (Sputnik) – The first launch from the Vostochny space center was conducted on Thursday. On Wednesday, the launch of the Soyuz-2.1a rocket from Vostochny was postponed due to a failure of the rocket's automatic control system.

"The separation of the spacecraft from the Volga booster has been registered," the representative said.

The Soyuz rocket orbited Russia’s Aist-2D, Mikhailo Lomonosov and SamSat-218 research satellites.
