Russia’s Caspian Flotilla Marines Commence Amphibious Warfare Exercises

Russia’s Caspian Flotilla marines have started amphibious warfare exercises, the press service of the Southern Military District said Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A total of 200 soldiers and some 20 combat vehicles are reportedly participating in the drills.

"Exercises are being carried out at the Scorpion training range of the naval infantry in the Republic of Dagestan,” the press service said.

It added that the soldiers are practicing loading and unloading combat vehicles from amphibious landing craft.
