GORKI (Sputnik) — The Russian Kogalymavia Airbus A321 passenger airliner with 217 passengers and seven crew members on board crashed on Saturday, leaving no survivors.
"The most important thing now, besides the work at the crash site, is to carry out all the necessary examinations, investigative activities… with the assistance of our experts in accordance with the ICAO’s [International Civil Aviation Organization] regulations and other international agencies, international experts," Medvedev said during a meeting with his deputies.
The Russian prime minister added that Russia’s search and rescue mission at the crash site continued its work to carry out "the key task — to determine the cause of the crash."
According to Medvedev, a government commission to assist the victims and families of crash victims would be set up in line with the Russian law and the government’s decisions.
