According to the Russian Public Opinion Research Center’s new poll, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s approval rating has hit a new high of 89.9 percent.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) Russian President Vladimir Putin’s approval rating has hit a new high at 89.9 percent, according to the Russian Public Opinion Research Center’s (VTsIOM) new poll published Thursday.

“The approval rating of Vladimir Putin’s activities has set a new record of 89.9 percent, breaking the previous record set in June 2015 [of 89.1 percent],” VTsIOM reported.

The pollster said that the most important factor in the high approval rating was due to Putin’s efforts in Syria, including airstrikes targeted at the Islamic State jihadist group.

Russia launched its operation in Syria on September 30, carrying out several hundred airstrikes and destroying much of the militants’ infrastructure.

Putin’s previous record beat the last year’s result of 86 percent and his June 2013 rating of 63 percent.

In April, the readers of Time magazine named Putin the most influential figure of 2015, beating all other world leaders to the top spot. The US media outlet has also named Putin the "Person of the Year" in 2007.

Well, I approve of him and I'm not Russian. I'd have to go back to Abraham Lincoln to find an American leader with my approval.
  • AND SO HIS A.R. SHOULD BE!!! What present day leader can even substantiate a leader and spokesman as Putin? NONE. He has a uncanny ability to change any negative into a positive. He is suppose to be a fine chess player, which is exemplified by the way he does business. A fine spokesman as any, as his speeches have peoples attention because they listen to answers, not more questions. Congratulations Mr Putin, this surely must have most of the global political idiots take notice and be envious. One thing that makes you what you are is that you have foresight that is realistic and not some bottomless pit. Well done and may your leadership and government continue for many years to come!!! From one lone Aussie supporter!!! BIG THUMBS UP
  • He's sure popular with me. But I'm not counted in this. Thank you Mr. Putin and Russia.

He's a gentleman, a statesman with dignity, a tactician /chessmaster knowing just when to act and when not to, and a Knight in Shining armor, doing what America was supposed to do, and coming to the rescue of Syria and Iraq instead of trying to destroy and destabilize. Hes honest, not a part of the NWO, and holds Christian family values without being fanactical. Hopefully he will never Join the NWO /UN / Papacy monstrosity that is forming up.
He is everything America was once supposed to be and now is not, so yes, he has the admiration of US citizens, at least all those that have not been brainwashed.
May the Lord look after him and keep him away from the mess that is about to descend upon this earth.

A lot of here in Canada approve too. He might just save the world from American terrorism. Is there anyone at all anymore who believes that The US presence in other countries is to 'restore democracy', or for the welfare of people. That lie has worn so thin in this past decade. As it is, so many of us talk of how belonging to the US led NATO is shameful.
