According to the Russian Defense Ministry’s Western Military District’s press secretary, Russian anti-submarine ships have held search and destroy exercises in the Baltic Sea.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) Russian anti-submarine ships have held search and destroy exercises in the Baltic Sea, the Russian Defense Ministry’s Western Military District’s press secretary said Tuesday.

“The anti-submarine ship strike group from the Baltic Fleet has held exercises, during which the crews of the anti-submarine ships, the Zelenodolsk and the Uregoi, operated together with Ka-27PL [Helix-D] anti-ship helicopters in a number of tasks in the search for conditional enemy submarines and their destruction,” Capt. 1st Rank Vladimir Matveyev said.
