Russian Armed Forces Start Final Combat Readiness Drills - Defense Ministry

The final test of combat readiness in the Russian Armed Forces, involving about 300 military units across the country, will start on Monday, a Defense Ministry spokesman said.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) —The first stage of the final test will be held from October 5 to October 16, the second stage — in the last ten days of October.

"All military personnel serving from Kaliningrad to the Kuril Islands, will be tested on the full list of training types — combat, technical, firing and others," the spokesman said.

Nearly 300 army units, military control bodies and institutions of the Russian Defense Ministry will participate in one of the most important military "exams" of 2015.
