Target detection of new armored combat vehicles will be carried out automatically, with probability of inaccuracy virtually excluded, according to a source in the Russian defense industry design company KBP.

NIZHNY TAGIL (Sputnik) — The Russian defense industry design company KBP began its work on the creation of unmanned combat modules for armored combat vehicles of the next generation, a source at the company said on Saturday.

"We are currently working on a more effective version of unmanned combat modules for armored fighting vehicles, which will replace the infantry fighting vehicle T-15 on the Armata platform, Kurganets-25 infantry fighting vehicle and Bumerang armored personnel carrier," the source told RIA Novosti at the 10th annual Russia Arms Expo RAE-2015 international arms show.

According to the source, due to the new combat modules, target detection will be carried out automatically, with probability of inaccuracy virtually excluded.

Saturday marks the last day of the three-day RAE-2015, where Russia showcases its latest military equipment and technology. The show is held in the Urals city of Nizhny Tagil.
