The convoy will deliver the aid to the Donetsk and Lugansk regions that have been severely affected by fighting between Kiev forces and independence supporters, which started in April 2014.

Overall, Russia has sent over 41,000 metric tons of humanitarian aid to Donbass since August, 2014.

Russia has also been helping deliver aid gathered by social and volunteer organizations in Cyprus for residents of Ukraine’s southeast.
