Russia is pursuing a very intelligent policy in the Middle East which often escapes from the sight of Western politicians, the newspaper wrote.
The West is jealously watching every move in the relations between Greece and Russia, while neglecting more significant Moscow foreign policy successes, the article said, recalling the meeting between President Putin and the Defense Minister of Saudi Arabia in June.
Such a meeting was hard to imagine until recently as Russia and Saudi Arabia had totally different positions on the war in Syria. Moreover, Saudi Arabia has always been a close ally of the United States.
However, the situation in the Middle East is rapidly changing, and Russia is skillfully using the emerging opportunities. The agreement on the Iranian nuclear program has completely changed the situation in the Middle East, and Russia has successfully found new strategic niches, the article said.
