MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has averted the activities of a criminal group illegally delivering weapons to Russia from the European Union and Ukraine, the FSB’s press service said Tuesday.
“The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation has averted the activity of an interregional organized criminal group involved in the illegal turnover of firearms and the organization of delivery channels from countries in the European Union and Ukraine into the Russian Federation,” the FSB press service said.
The FSB added that more than 150 Russian and foreign-made firearms were confiscated in a raid.
