MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian troops will work on countering terrorists at Russian military objects abroad during a drill in Kyrgyzstan in late May, the country’s Airborne Troops said in a statement Friday.
"Exercises with the participation of Russian paratroopers are planned to be two-staged. During one of the stages, paratroopers, together with other Russian troops, will hold a training session on combating terrorists at Russian military facilities located outside the Russian Federation", the statement reads.
According to the statement, 250 Russian troops and 20 units of military equipment will participate in the drills.
Yesterday reconnaissance units of the Russian Airborne Troops were transferred to the Kant military base in Kyrgyzstan.
