MOSCOW, February 1 (Sputnik) – Public transport fare in Moscow will be increased by 7 percent on average starting from this month, the transport department of the Russian capital has announced.
The cost of one trip on any public transport in the Russian capital will go up by about 10 Roubles ($0.14), however, the price for unlimited 3-day and 7-day passes will not be changed and will actually go down for unlimited 1-month and 3-month passes.
Moscow started updating its public transport ticket system in February 2013, having introduced a universal transit pass valid on buses, trolleys, trams and subway.
The last time public transport fare went up in Moscow was in June, 2014.
