MOSCOW, January 23 (Sputnik) — The Russian Ministry of Justice said Friday it had added five Ukrainian ultra-nationalist organizations to its list of non-commercial organizations whose activity in Russia is prohibited.

The addition, introduced on January 22, includes the Right Sector movement led by Dmytro Yarosh, the Ukrainian National Assembly — Ukrainian People's Self-Defense (UNA-UNSO) party, the radical 'Bratstvo' organization, as well as the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) and the Stepan Bandera All-Ukrainian Organization 'Tryzub'.
All five organizations were declared by the Russian Supreme Court as extremist last November.
Moscow has repeatedly expressed concern over the rise of neo-Nazism in Ukraine. Far-right groups were actively involved in the overthrow of former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych in February last year and have also been engaged in Kiev's military operation against independence supporters in the country’s predominantly Russian-speaking eastern regions.
