The resumption of search operations has been delayed until Thursday due to a storm in the area. A boat of the US Coast Guard is expected to come Thursday.

MOSCOW, December 3 (Sputnik) — A search operation for fishermen from the Oryong-501 South Korean trawler that sank near Russia’s Far Eastern region has been suspended until Thursday, Artur Retz, head of the port of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky"s Maritime Rescue Sub-Branch, told RIA Novosti.

"Today, it is already dark. So the search operation was suspended until tomorrow morning. A boat of the US Coast Guard is expected to come tomorrow," Retz said.

Earlier, it was reported that 11 cadavers were pulled out of the water by a rescue team on Wednesday.

The fishing trawler Oryong-501 sank Tuesday in the Bering Sea off the coast of the Chukotka peninsula, in the Russian Far East. The crew consisted mostly of South Korean, Indonesian and Philippine citizens.

Seven people, including one Russian national, have been rescued. They are in good condition. The rest of the crew is still missing.
