Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Monday the results of Sunday's regional elections in Russia were "more than satisfying" for the pro-Kremlin United Russia party.

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Monday the results of Sunday's regional elections in Russia were "more than satisfying" for the pro-Kremlin United Russia party.

He said the party won in all the regions where polls were held.

"United Russia received not less, but even slightly more support than in 2007," said the prime minister, who is also the party's chairman.

Putin said he remained undecided on whether to lead the United Russia party list during elections to the lower chamber of the Russian parliament, the State Duma.

"It's too early to speak of elections to the Duma... I will discuss [the party list] with my colleagues [later]," he said.

Overall, about 3,200 local elections were held in Russia on United Voting Day on Sunday. The elections are widely seen as a test run for the parliamentary elections due in December.
