MOSCOW, July 7 (RIA Novosti) - The daughters of U.S. President Barack Obama visited a Moscow museum complex on Tuesday where they were taught to bake Russian ginger and honey cookies, called pryaniki.

Michelle Obama and her daughters accompanied U.S. President Barack Obama on his official visit to Moscow. Obama met with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Monday and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin earlier on Tuesday.

Ten-year-old Malia and eight-year-old Sasha attended a special program at the Izmailovo Kremlin museum while their mother, Michelle, was visiting the St. Demetrius Sisterhood, the only Orthodox Christian medical school in Russia.

The girls also had an opportunity to ride horses, feed tamed doves, and visit the museum of Russian folk toys.

Later in the day, First Lady Michelle Obama and her daughters went to a concert of Russian folk art at the Stanislavski and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theater together with Russian First Lady Svetlana Medvedev.

Michelle Obama said after the concert that her daughters had wanted to see Russian art and dances and enjoyed the performance. She thanked Svetlana Medvedev for her hospitality and the entertainment and invited her to Washington.
