VLADIVOSTOK, December 27 (RIA Novosti, Anatoly Ilyukhov) - A well-known Russian archaeology professor was found dead in his apartment in the Russian Far Eastern city of Vladivostok Tuesday, the local police department reported.
The body of 47-year-old Alexander Artemyev, the deputy director of the History, Archaeology and Ethnography Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, was discovered by his daughter with a gunshot wound to the heart.
An investigation is under way.
