WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin will introduce additional sanctions against Damascus following a military strike on a Syrian airbase overnight, according to media reports.

Mhuchin will announce new punitive measures against the Syrian government of President Bashar Assad in the near future, but the exact date is not clear yet, CNBC reported.
