At Least 27 Killed, 35 Injured in Suicide Attack on Shiite Mosque in Kabul
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A suicide bomber targeted the Baqir-ul-Olum Mosque in Kabul on Monday during a ceremony for the Arbaeen ritual, killing at least 32 people including children.

"We strongly condemn this inhuman act of terrorism. We express our deep condolences to the families and friends of those killed and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. We call on the Afghan authorities to take all necessary steps for security and interreligious peace in the country," the ministry said.

"This is not the first foray of Daesh in Afghanistan directed against Shiite Muslims. Obviously, the organizers aim to incite sectarian strife to further escalate the conflict in Afghanistan," the Russian ministry added.
