Trump Vows to Fix US Immigration System With Harsh Measures

"We all have an interest in keeping our hemisphere safe and free," Trump stated. This can only be done by cooperation in… intelligence sharing and joint operations between our countries.

A secure border was a strategic necessity for both countries, Trump noted.

Earlier, President Nieto said the United States had to crack down to halt the flow of illegal funds and thousands of weapons being smuggled into Mexico every year to strengthen the power of the illegal drug cartels.

"We agreed on the importance of ending the illegal flow of drugs, cash, guns and people across our border and to put the cartels out of business," Trump said on Wednesday night in Phoenix.
