MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia left PACE in 2015 after the Assembly adopted several resolutions condemning Crimea's reunification with Russia as well as alleged Russia interference in the conflict in eastern Ukraine. PACE also imposed sanctions on the Russian delegation, barring Russian lawmakers from participating in PACE's three key bodies — its bureau, presidential committee and standing committee.
"There is dialogue with the leadership. Moreover, I intend to meet again with the head of the Parliamentary Assembly and the leaders of its political groups here in Moscow in early September," Naryshkin said.
Earlier, member of the French delegation to PACE Thierry Mariani told Sputnik that the Assembly President Pedro Agramunt stood for the return of Russia's delegation to the organization and that PACE may soon ease sanctions against the Russia.
