MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Bahrain's Ambassador to Russia Ahmed Abdulrahman Saati met in Moscow earlier in the day.
"Discussion of the situation unfolding in the Middle East region with focus on problems of the Syrian settlement and practical aspects of cooperation within strategic dialogue Russia-Gulf Cooperation Council took place," the statement reads.
The diplomats also talked about bilateral relations between Moscow and Manama, including schedule of upcoming meetings and events.
