Russia-US Cooperation on Syria Difficult, Not Deadlocked - Ambassador
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – He noted that "we are starting to move toward each other, but there still a great way to achieve real and serious partnership."

"We believed in this need [for more anti-terror coordination] from day one. Moreover, we constantly offer the Americans to seriously work against the common threat of terrorism. Strictly speaking, they to say they want to fight terrorism, but they want to do so within their political guidelines," Kislyak said.

"I cannot disclose all the details of our discussions, but today I am more hopeful that this case will move forward than I was, for example, two weeks ago," the Russian envoy observed.
