MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The Russian president is going to hold an informal meeting with the former French president, according to the Kremlim's aide.

"Tomorrow in the evening, the president will hold an informal dinner with his old friend Nicolas Sarkozy. The discussion will have an informal character. All topics may be touched upon including, of course, the state and prospects of the Russian-French relations, possible upcoming contacts and, probably, regional issues. Sarkozy will most probably be interested in our assessments of the situation in Middle East, Syria and so on," Ushakov said.

He added that the dinner with Sarkozy would take place in the Constantine Palace near St. Petersburg.
