MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Syrian opposition's actions carried out with the support of Turkey are unacceptable, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Monday.
"Over the last week I've spoken to [US Secretary of State] John Kerry three times, I think, strongly drawing his attention to the unacceptability of actions carried out by the [Syrian] opposition with the direct support of Turkey," Lavrov told reporters.
Syria has been mired in civil war since March 2011, with government forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar Assad fighting numerous opposition factions and extremist groups.
