MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the statement, Moscow welcomes efforts of a number of politicians aimed at finding a compromise between various political forces in Venezuela.
"The development of the situation in Venezuela causes concern. On the background of a complex economic situation, the political struggle there is again threatening to turn into street violence. Unfortunately, the escalation of tensions is being fed from the outside," the ministry said in a statement.
"We are hoping that such efforts will bring positive results. We are ready to join these efforts if it's deemed necessary," the ministry said.
