Russian Ministers Urge Baku, Yerevan to End Hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Moscow is seriously concerned over the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday.

"The Kremlin remains concerned. The situation actually calls for serious concern in the Kremlin. You know that energetic efforts are being taken along the lines of Russia, Yerevan, and Baku, as well as along the lines of the appropriate international institutes. These efforts will continue in order to realize, first and foremost, the return to a ceasefire regime," Peskov told journalists.

Moscow is refraining from making any commentaries on Turkey’s possible role in the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.

“I refrained from making any commentaries. This is a very ticklish area that needs very careful and accurate relations in both assessing and acting,” Peskov told journalists responding to a question of whether he holds the same opinion as Russian senators and lawmakers that Turkey is “rocking the boat” around the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict.

On April 2, Azerbaijan and Armenia reported intensified fighting in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region. The sides accused each other of violating the ceasefire agreement which had been in place since 1994.
