MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday that CIA head John Brennan was not in contact with the Kremlin during his Moscow visit earlier this month.
"I cannot say anything about this, he was not in contact with the Kremlin," Peskov told reporters.
"This was not a secret, it was covered by the press. Brennan did not visit the Foreign Ministry. And there was no relation between Brennan's visit and the withdrawal of the majority of Russian forces from Syria," Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Syromolotov told reporters, commenting on the CIA chief's visit to Moscow.
Earlier this month, President Vladimir Putin announced the partial withdrawal of the Russian forces last week. On the one hand, Moscow has achieved the main goals of its anti-Desh campaign.
