The final round of the Syrian peace talks and signing of the final document may take place in Damascus, a source at the ongoing peace talks in Geneva told Sputnik.
GENEVA (Sputnik) — The Swiss city of Geneva is currently hosting proximity talks between the opposition and the Syrian government. The talks are expected to last until March 24.
"The final round can take place in Damascus. Signing of the final document should take place in Damascus. It will have a symbolic meaning, as it will be on the Syrian land," the source said.
