"We're talking to all the departments and structures which have a relationship with the European Union throughout various areas – there are 18 sectoral dialogues; each one has sub-groups, and we're trying to see what remains interesting to them, and what we could eliminate," the source said.
The diplomat assumes that Russia cannot do business with the EU as "it did before" because the European states consider themselves to be the leading side, which can order around its Russia colleagues, saying what they should or shouldn't do.
"Mogherini listed several areas of cooperation with Russia in which the European Union is interested. And we're evaluating the issues we are interested in," the source added.
On March 14, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini outlined the five principles in the bloc's relations with Russia which were approved by the EU foreign ministers.
